Rogers - 125

Traditional Upright Piano

We are very happy to offer this lovely traditional upright piano built by the British manufacturer, Rogers.

George Rogers & Sons Ltd was a British piano maker established in London, 1843.

The name is not quite as well-known as those of John Broadwood & Sons, Knight, Danemann, Welmar etc. but the instruments are of consistent high build quality.

This Rogers has belonged to the same family for the majority of its life and underwent a full restoration around 12 years ago. Pianos like this, which have had such an extent of work carried out, are a rare find on the second-hand market.

The piano has been fully restrung, with a new wrest-plank, new hammers, dampers, springs, felts, leathers, tapes, loops, key-coverings and a full refinish.

We think this piano represents excellent value for money and perfect for those who require a piano which performs well but desire a more traditional cabinet than most modern pianos can offer.

Older traditional uprights have a more pleasing and familiar tone, but as British instruments are never overpowering. This Rogers upright piano has a light touch and a full tone, clear but not bright.

The piano has had further reconditioning carried out in our workshop and has been expertly regulated, tuned and toned by our specialist technicians. We have included a brand new [matching] adjustable stool and a five-year warranty.

Included with this piano:

  • Specialist technical preparation including regulation, tuning and toning

  • Free UK mainland (ground floor) delivery*

  • A complimentary tuning with voicing and regulation check

  • Brand new adjustable stool

  • A three (3) year structural and mechanical guarantee
