Traditional Upright Piano

We are very proud to offer this wonderful upright piano built in c1920, by one of the most revered German manufacturers in the world.

Ritmüller was founded in 1795, in Göttingen (Germany), cementing its place as one of the first manufacturers in the country, and one of the most prominent in the world. Through their commitment to making instruments of very high-quality, Ritmüller grew to be one of Germany's most respected manufacturers and have been appreciated for their warm, rich tone for over two-hundred years.

We think this is a rare opportunity to own a lovely traditional instrument from one of the most famous German manufacturers, which has been lovingly cared for all of its life.

This Ritmüller is housed in a lovely satin mahogany case, which was completely and delicately refinished c2002. It also boasts the original ivory keys, which are in impeccable condition.
The piano has a warm and rich mellow tone with a firm and responsive touch; typical of Ritmüller uprights of this vintage.

We would like to point out that this upright is a true German example.

In our workshop, the piano has been carefully reconditioned by our technicians. In addition to a full technical service, the piano has benefitted from new key-bushings, bridal tapes, dampers, springs and felt. The hammers have been replaced with the world-famous Abel [Natural] hammers, which are quintessential for a piano of this era.

Included with this piano:

  • Specialist technical preparation including regulation, tuning and toning

  • Free UK mainland (ground floor) delivery*

  • A complimentary tuning with voicing and regulation check

  • Brand new adjustable stool

  • A five (5) year structural and mechanical guarantee
