COVID-19 - 2021 Update

At Sykes & Sons Pianos, family and community has always been at the heart of everything we do and we want to assure you that we are continuing to prioritise the health and safety of all of our customers, employees and their families during these unprecedented times.

As the situation caused by COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to change, we would like to keep our customers informed and updated with the actions and measures that we are taking to ensure that we are doing all we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19; in accordance with the advice of the World Health Organisation, the Governmentand Public Health Authorities.

Visits to us

In line with Government regulations, visits to the Sykes & Sons Workshop will resume on Monday, the 12th April 2021*.

  • Visits to sample our pianos continue to be by appointment only and we have limited the amount of appointments to one per day.

  • Brief enquiries will be made regarding the health of any visitors and any member of their household before the appointment is confirmed.

  • An alcohol-based hand sanitiser and optional nitrile (non-latex) gloves will be offered to visitors upon entry.
    In accordance with regulations set out by the government, visitors are required to wear a face covering.
    We will provide disposable, Type IIR face masks to visitors if required.


  • Social distancing applies

  • The keyboard of any piano sampled by visitors will be sterilised before the next appointment the following day.


Our delivery service is continuing to operate as normally as possible and we are still aiming to have every piano delivered within 7 days from purchase.

  • Our delivery team will be equipped with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. PPE includes face masks, nitrile gloves and hand sanitiser.

  • Brief enquiries will be made regarding the health of every person in the household before the delivery date is confirmed.
