John Brinsmead - 100

Upright Piano

We are happy to offer this reconditioned upright piano, by one of Britain’s most historic piano manufacturers, John Brinsmead.

John Brinsmead (est 1836) was a significant British manufacturer, based in London. The company name was changed to John Brinsmead & Sons in 1861 when his sons, Edgar and John joined the company.

In 1967, the firm was purchased by The Kemble Piano Company who continued to make Brinsmead pianos in their "state of the art" factory in Bletchley. This Brinsmead was manufactured by Kemble here in England, while the company was under the stewardship of Yamaha.

This upright is the ideal beginner's instrument and offers everything that we would expect from a Kemble made piano. This well constructed, compact upright is housed in a satin mahogany case and boasts a full 88 note keyboard with a good volume and bright tone. This is coupled with a good quality and responsive action.

This piano was purchased new in 1979 and has been owned by the same family since. Like all of our pianos offered for sale, this Brinsmead is in excellent condition and has been thoroughly reconditioned in our workshop by our specialised technicians.

Included with this piano:

  • Specialist technical preparation including regulation, tuning and toning

  • Free UK mainland (ground floor) delivery*

  • A complimentary tuning with voicing and regulation check

  • Brand new adjustable stool

  • A 12 month structural and mechanical guarantee
